Drawing upon issues of identity, death and abjection, I will be creating portraits showing a healthy person with rotting body parts raising the issue of whether our identity dies at the same time as our body.

Image calibration

Earlier today we compared my images on three different screens; my mac laptop, an iPad, and the monitors and UWE. On each screen the colouring of images looked slightly different as the screens had not been calibrated. I have been working on my laptop to edit my images and have catered to the calibration of that screen, however, this was not in sync with the other screen tested. I look up some tutorials on calibrating my monitor with photoshop and printers and this is what I gathered:

1. Go to my display settings and in the advanced tab, set my colour management to preferred program (adobe)

2.Open photoshop-colour setting

3.Match setting I have previously selected in display settings (Adobe)

4. In print screen select the same program again in drop menu

Final stages of editing

In our most recent conversation about my project, we discussed how the ‘decaying’ parts of my images were lacking definition and a clean ‘break’ between the normal skin and the decaying parts. To  create this effect I created a fabricated flesh wound using liquid latex, tissue paper and skin coloured paint.
